The Holy Spirit drops off the old life

I live in a country where they have oak trees, scrub oak. And in springtime, the wintertime's passed by, and there's all the old dead leaves hanging on the oak tree. Now, how we going to get some new leaves? You don't have to go out and pick off the old leaf. Just let the new life come in; the old leaf drops off. And that's the way it is with Christ. When Christ comes in, the world drops out automatically. When people say that they're born of the Spirit of God, and still love the things of the world, the Bible said, "If you love the world or the things of the world, the love of God's not even in you."

1 JOHN 2:15

15†† Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

The only thing you have to do is just wait and let the new life come up; the old leaf drops off. That's all we need, is Christ the new life, and all the things in the world become dead to you.

You don't have to go pick the leaves off to make new ones come on. Just let the new life come up, the old leaves goes off. That's right. Let the Holy Spirit come into a person's heart, they clean up and fix up and a few things like. That's right. Just get them to Christ; that's all.

Just let the new life come up, the old leaf goes off. When a man is really born again, and a... his heart, woman or man, the old life drops away, and the new life comes in and takes its place.††† Just--just let them get right with God, then you can notice.

Let the new life of Christ come in, and the old life dies, and you become a new creature in Christ Jesus.

And if a man or woman's borned of the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit drops off the old life and the new life comes on. Amen.

Life and death cannot exist at the same time. And the trees has to have the sap go out of them before that the leaf can die on the tree. So therefore, death is associated, I would think in the realms of a human being, death is associated with sin. Because before we had any sin, we had no death at all. But where there is death, then there is sin; and where there is sin, there is death; 'cause death is the results of sin. And then, he that... The soul that sinneth, it shall die. But when we're borned again of the Spirit of God, we have Eternal Life and not associated anywhere with death.

And when Christ is put into death, death and Life can't exist together no more than daylight and dark can exist together. When the sun comes up, I don't care how dark it is, dark fades away. And when Jesus comes into a soul, no matter how haughty, high minded, the type of person you been, sin vanishes: no more of it. The things of the world just pass away from you. Someone said, not long ago, "Brother Branham, you believe we ought to do this, and do that, and train the people to do this?" I said, "I live in a country where they have a lot of scrub oak. In the springtime we never have to go out and pick them old leaves off. They stayed there all winter. The only thing to do is let the new life come in, the old leaf drops off. And when a man or a woman is borned of the Spirit of God, the old life drops away and the new life takes it's place.

And if the new life that you think you've received doesn't pattern with God's Word, you've got the wrong life in you. The life of Christ will produce the works of Christ, will produce the faith of Christ, will make you act as Christ, make you love Him. He will be first in your life. Your objectives, your motives, and everything will be altogether different. It'll be for the glory of God.

Will I have to give up shows, dances, and so forth?" No. Don't have to give up anything. Not a thing. We're nearly all northern people here. We have little scrub oaks out here; they hold their leaves all winter long. When springtime comes, you all don't have to go out and take off the old leaves so the new ones can come on. Just let the new life come up, and the old leaves goes off anyhow. So you don't... You don't have to have a measuring stick; just get new life in there; it'll take care of itself. That's right.

Oh, you say, "I belong to church. "Brother, when you got that baptism of the Holy Ghost, it's takes that old temper out of you. It puts you on a dress and makes you act like a lady. It'll make you quit your smoking, drinking, lying, stealing, and everything. Brother, when you've got the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it separates you. It delivers you from the things of the world. Amen. It makes you love God.

And then if you say that you're saved and still live for the things of the world, your fruits prove that you're not saved. Certainly. I've always said that I'm very strict; I believe holiness, exactly. And I said, I... But if you just make yourself dress like a holy person or act like a holy person, that doesn't make you a holy person. See? You'd just be making out that. But if the Spirit within you makes you live that way, then you know you're all right. That's how you judge yourself; then you're not judged. You're con... You're not condemned with the world, as long as you have judged yourself by the life that the Spirit within you makes you live.

You can't serve two masters at the same time. You're wholly given to one or wholly given to the other. And if you got the Spirit of God in you, you've got faith, and you'll believe every Word that God wrote.

I don't have no rule say you have to do this, and wear your dresses, and your skirts, and men have to do this. There's no rule. Just like up in my country. There's a oak tree, a little old scrub oak, it holds its leaves all winter long. When springtime comes, you don't have to go put back the old leaves so the new ones will come on. Just let the new life come up, the old leaf drops off. And if a man or woman's borned of the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit drops off the old life and the new life comes on.

Then what does He do when He gives me the Holy Ghost? He sets you out in a separate place to yourself, marks you. See? You're a different person then. You're not of the world no more (See?); you're clothed different. You're dressed different. Not this outside dress, no, no; you don't have to be odd and peculiar, and collar turned around, and a long ceremony-like. No, no. You don't do that. You dress physically like this. It's just this spiritual dress that counts. The wedding garment's been put on you.

Someone said to me the other day, "Did you ever baptize anybody that smoked?" I said, "Look here, brother, I haven't a yardstick at my church. (See?) I teach the people what's the truth, and then when they receive Christ, Christ takes care of the rest of it."

What we've been trying to say, "When he shouts, he's got It. When he prophesies, he's got It." But that ain't what he got. To take an apple off the tree, don't mean you got the tree. See? You got an attribute of the tree. And that's what's caused the trouble. But when Christ is once seasoned into the heart, all these other things just automatically take place. Right now it's coming wintertime. All the trees will shed their leaves except the oak, he will hold its leaves. When springtime comes, they're old dead leaves. You don't have to go out and pick off the leaves so the new ones can come on.

Works... "Bless God, I'll let my hair grow out," the women, and, "Oh, praise God, I won't even wear a short-sleeved shirt," the men will and so forth like that. That has nothing to do with the Kingdom. No, sir. You can let your hair grow long; you can wear dresses whatever you want to; or you can do this, that, or the other, and it won't have nothing at all to do with it. You're not saved because of your clothes. If so, God would just have made some patterns of such. Jesus wouldn't have had to die. You're saved because that God saved you by grace.

Just let the new life come up, and the old ones drop off and new ones come on. That's the way it is with Christianity. To receive Jesus Christ, doesn't... I heard people say, "Well, glory to God, I once cursed. I could cuss the hat off of a man's head. And I quit cussing; I know I'm a Christian." No, you don't, by that. No, sir. "I once drank, and I quit drinking." That's a good thing. But that's the moral thing that you stopped. But to receive Jesus Christ is to receive His Person into your heart. That makes you die to the things of the world, if Christ lives in you. See? You absolutely could quit drinking and still not be a Christian. You could keep all ten commandments and still not be a Christian. For if the ten commandments would've saved you, Jesus wouldn't have had to die. But Jesus died that He might give you Everlasting Life. And that's what it is. It's the Holy Spirit living in you. Not keeping laws or doing things, or something like that, that's works. Not by works are you saved; but by grace are you saved, through faith.

Have you ever met the conditions that He said, that He promised Eternal Life to as many as would believe on Him? He would change that temper you got into a sweet humble person. He'd make you stop lying and tell the truth. Oh, you say, "Brother Branham, I--I'm a church member." That's all right. "I've been baptized." That's all right. But if that Life of Christ isn't in you, you're dead. That life that you have, that's give to you by the world, God condemned it at the beginning. You know you can't polish it up. You can't reform it. It's got to die, so that Christ can be borned in you. Do not be deceived, people, if Christ doesn't live in you by the new birth, that changes your whole nature, attitude, and everything, you're lost. Satan don't care how good you are. If goodness would've saved a man, Jesus wouldn't have had to die.

No matter how much we go to church, that has nothing to do with it. God must come by revelation and reveal Hisself to us; that takes all the things of the world out.

That's how it is with Christ, when a man's borned of the Spirit of God. Not because he shouted, spoke in tongues or some emotion, but†††† in his heart love come in and taken the place of the world.

Just let the new life come up, and the old leaf drops off. That's right. Amen. Listen. May I say this too. If the old leaf don't drop off,it shows the new Life hasn't come. Don't get angry with me now. I'm talking about Jesus. All right.

24††† No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.††††††††† Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Now, then, you are a son of God in the house of God; you are a part of God's economy. Romans 8:1, "Then there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." For they are dead to the world, alive in Him, and living in this present day, making the Word that God has used them for, foreordained them, placing their names in this Bride Book. And when the Waters comes upon that seed that's in the heart, raises it up to the Bride of Christ. Oh, my. Just perfect as it can be.In every age it's been that way.

"By one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body." We're baptized into the Body of Christ by one Holy Spirit. We're not shook in; we're not joined in; we're not baptized with water in. We are baptized with the Holy Ghost into the Body of Jesus Christ. How long does it last when you get in There, until you misbehave yourself? Ephesians 4:30 says, "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you're sealed until the day of your redemption." Argue with Him, not me. That's what It says. I'm reading It. All right. "You're sealed until the day of your redemption," until the day that Jesus comes for you. Then think of it. You are then not yourself; you are a new creature, for the Greek there means "a new creation." You've been recreated again. The power of God comes upon you, and you become created, a new creature; which brings the whole physical being, spiritual being and everything, in subject to the Word of God, not no other way. How can you say that you're a Christian, and disobey His Word in one thing? Whosoever disobeyed the law in one--one part of it, was guilty of all of it. Whosoever... Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God," not just part of the Words; every Word.

Öif you are in Christ, you are a new creature, and there's no condemnation in you, nowhere at all. That's God's meeting place. That's where God meets the worshipper. There's where you are--are accounted a new creature, for they're dead to the things of the world. They're alive in Him. The living Presence of God is with them day by day.

2 TimOTHY 2:11

11†† It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

2†††† Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3†††† For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

20†† I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

ROMANS 6:6††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† †††††††††See ROMANS 12:2

6††† Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

The Word is what separates us

And the Word is what separates us from the things of the world.

"Ye are not of this world, little children. Neither am I of this world.†††††† I pray for you." See, Jesus prayed for His church, that they would not be of the world. They are not of the world. I don't care; you're not American; you're not Swedish; you're not European; you're a Christian. And if you're a Christian, your spirit is from up there; so it makes you live holy, want to be holy, want to act like Christ, act like God. Your whole desire is on heaven and not of the world.

You got to come and recognize the Blood of Jesus Christ was shed for you, and you're dead to yourself and to the things of the world, and born anew in Christ Jesus, by the washing and renewing of the--by the Blood.

And any man that's borned of the Spirit of God, or any woman, doesn't do the things of the world. They've come out from the world, and they are separated in a different life. 'Cause they can't digest it... Their digesting orders has been changed, been converted; their appetites are the things of God, looking above, prayer meetings and so forth. They ain't got no time for skating rinks, dances, and ballrooms, and so forth. They've passed from death unto Life, become new creatures. They don't have--desire those things no more.

And the Scripture says, "If you love the world, or the things of the world (that's Abraham's seed), the love of God is not in you." So we must get to a spot in God, a place in His grace, until the things and pleasures of the world... I--I don't mean the physical pleasures like you'd go out and set under a tree to keep cool, or take a little ride in your car, but I mean the worldly pleasures, drinking, gambling, and evil things. If you still love those, the love of God isn't in it. That's how we can check ourself to see whether we got the faith or not when the things of the world is dead and gone from us.

If you claim you have it, and still live for the world, then there's something wrong.

The Word of God is the thing that the Holy Spirit uses, not creeds, not denominations, but the Word is what separates us from the things of the world. It cuts away our ideas and things, and wholly consecrates us to God.

And if you still got the things of the world in you, you're not born again. And how you going to claim to be born again and still with the things of the world hanging on you?

That Word is a Seed, and that Word will bring forth everything it promised to bring forth. It'll do it. It'll take the world out of you;†††† it'll sanctify you; it'll make you live a different life; it'll make you do things that you thought you couldn't do; 'cause it's the Word in you. Don't presume you have it. Watch your life, and measure up and see what your life is, see the way you're living. See if you're in the faith. Search out, and see if everything's going just right. See if the world's still got a love so much it'll call you away from the things that's really of God to love the world.

When God speaks to you out of His Word, in your heart you know it. When all the world's gone from you, and the things of the world is dead, you know it. When, if you love the world or the things of the world, you still know in your heart you're not right. It's true. So when everything's gone, then there's nothing else to do but meet God.

And still like this poor person said: "My husband and son, they still love the things of the world and things like that"... See, they haven't accepted that redeeming, for when you do, it cleanses you automatically. "He that's borned of God does not commit sin." There's no desire, nothing in him for the things of the world.

Nothing, no desire at all, no condemnation to them that's in Christ Jesus... My. Those old things of the world, you don't have to quit them, you don't; there ain't nothing to quit; it just quits you.

Now, when we receive His Spirit, we who are once dead in sin and trespasses, He gives us new birth, new life. What does He do? He...We die and are buried in Jesus. We raise in the Spirit from the worldly things unto the heavenly things. And tonight we are setting together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. How many Christians in here still love the world? If you do, you're not a Christian. You are a professor of Christianity and not a possessor. For when a man once tastes of Christ, he's dead to the things of the world and by no means he has any desire to go back into that. What does it do? "The life," Paul said, "that I once lived, I live no more. Yet I live; not me, but Christ in me." Why? He raised him from this low level of worldly sin up to a place that we ourselves can look back and see where we come from (Glory.), look back and see where we once lived. Now we live different, What is it? It's the assurance that we are dead and our lives are hid in Christ through God, and are sealed by the Holy Ghost, and raised above those things.

The soulís call

THIRST†† TUCSON.AZ†† 65-0919

Now, David said in Psalms 42:7 here, "When the deep calleth unto the deep, at the noise of Thy waterspout..." the soul's call...

1†† As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

And surely, if there is a human desire in a human's heart, who is a creature of God, calling out for God, there's got to be a God somewhere to respond to that call. But when the deep calls to the deep, there's got to be a respond to that call. Before a deep can be in here calling, there has to be a deep out there to respond to that call, or there'd be no call in here. As I've often said, before there was a fin on a fish's back there had to be a water first for him to use that fin, or he wouldn't have had any fin. Before there was a tree to grow in the earth, there had to be an earth first or there wouldn't have been any tree. And as long as there is a creation, there is a Creator to create that creation. See what I mean? And when there's a hunger and thirst in a human's heart for something, there's got to be something to respond to that, or the thirst wouldn't be there.

And if you're hungering, there's something causing that hungering, the deep calling to the deep. There's something in them that speaks, "There's a different life. There's more of God." And as sure as it's hungering in here, there's a Deep to respond to it. There's more of God for them to receive.

THIRST†† TUCSON.AZ†† 65-0919

When the deep calleth to the Deep it takes more than joining a church. It takes more than shaking hands with the preacher. It takes more than living a good, straight life. It takes something to satisfy inside of you, that pours down from God into the soul. "The deep calling to the deep, at the noise of Thy waterspouts, O Lord. The deep calling to the deep..."

John 14:17

17†† Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

There's got to be something happen inside

Ephesians 4:23-24

23††† And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness

Now, there's where the battle begins--right in your mind, whether you will... Now, you remember, it's not Christian Science now, mind over matter; that hasn't... The mind accepts the Life which is the Word of God, and there brings the Life. Just your thought doesn't do it, but the Word of God brought in the channel of your thought. See? It's not the thought, as Christian Science make it, mind over matter. No. That isn't it. But your mind accepts it and grasp it. What is your mind controlled by? Your spirit; and your spirit catches the Word of God, and that's the thing that's got Life in it. It brings Life into you. Oh, brother, when that takes place, when Life comes down that channel into you, the Word of God is manifested in you. "If ye abide in Me and My words abide in you, then ask what you will and it'll be done for you." Then what does that do? From the middle of the heart, which is the soul, from there goes forth, feeding every channel. The trouble of it is we're standing in here with a lot of doubt trying to accept what's out there.

You've got to stop that and come down that channel with the true Word of God, and then it goes out, itself, automatically. It's what's on the inside. That's the thing that counts, is the inside. Satan's approach is from the inside. Now, you say, "I don't steal; I don't drink; I don't do these things." That has nothing to do with it (See?); it's the inside. No matter how good you are, how moral you are, how truthful you are, those things are respected, but Jesus said, "Except a man be borned again..." See? There's got to be something happen inside. If you don't, that's artificial put-on, for down in your heart you desire to do it anyhow..

16†† That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17†† That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16†††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† †††††††††††††††††See Colossians 3:10

16†† For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish,†††††† yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Continue to feed upon the Word

4†† But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

To be an eagle of God, you've got to follow the Word day by day. You've got to continue to feed upon the Word.

The inside man is a spirit man which is controlled by five senses: Conscience, and love, and so forth. The outside man: see, taste, feel, smell, hear. But the inside of that spirit is a soul, and it's controlled by one thing: your free will. You can accept what the devil says or accept what God says. And that'll determine what spirit's in there. If it's a spirit of God, it'll feed on the things of God, and it won't feed on anything of the world. Jesus said, "If you love the world or the things of the world, it's because the love of God's not even entered this inner part." Satan's deceived you. "And man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."†††††††††††††††††††††††††††††

Looky here. How could you feed a lamb, slop? He wouldn't eat it. That's right. He wouldn't eat it because he's a lamb. But a pig will eat it (See what I mean?) because he's a pig by nature. And all that's ordained to Everlasting Life will hear the Truth, and believe the Truth, and come to the Truth. But those who'll go to church and be just as pious as the rest of them, yet won't receive the Truth, because there's nothing in them to blend with It. They can't believe the supernatural, for there's no supernatural in here to blend with the supernatural. There you are.

THIRST†† TUCSON.AZ†† 65-0919

So if you neglect to feed the Holy Spirit the Word of God... Jesus said, "Every Word shall be by the Holy Spirit." And listen now. If you try to feed it the wrong thing, if it's the genuine Holy Spirit in you, It'll know the difference. Now, remember, the Word of God is what the Holy Spirit feeds on. It don't feed on enthusiasm. It don't feed on education. It doesn't feed on church going. It doesn't feed on theologies. There's a lot of difference between an inspired something and a theological standpoint of it.

We notice here again, if the Word is in us and has come to us, as It did Elijah in that day, It'll do the same thing that he did: he would feed on the secret Things of God which is hid from the world. Oh. Again it makes the message and the messenger as one. The spiritual Food is ready, and it's in the season now. And each one of you can have this Food if you wish it, if you're willing to steal away from all of the unbelief of this hour, if you're ready to come into Christ, come into His promise. And remember His promises in Malachi 4, Luke 17:30, also in Saint John 14:12 (and how many more Scriptures of telling), Joel 2:38, and all that He would do, or 2:28, rather, what He would do in these last days. And how the prophet said that it'd be Light in these last days, how it would work, what it would do, all the Scriptures pointing to this last days. And that is Christ. If you can hide away in That now, in that secret Place, you can eat and see the goodness and mercy of God.

Matthew 13:11

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know†††† the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

LUKE 8:10†† And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries†††††† of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might††† not see, and hearing they might not understand.

Nothing inside of them to believe with

JOHN 8:39-45

39†† They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

40†† But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

41†† Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42†† Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44†† Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45††† And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

But after He has provided a way for people and then they refuse it... Now, the reason they refuse it is because there's nothing in there to receive it. There's nothing to receive it. My mother used to say, "You cannot get blood from a turnip, because there's no blood in a turnip." So if there is no form of Life in there to receive It,††† then It cannot be received. That's the reason the Pharisees could††††† look right in the face of Jesus and call Him Beelzebub, because there was nothing in them to receive Him. "But all the Father has given Me," He said, "will come to Me." There's--there's some way it's going to be presented. You can talk to people sometime on the streets, talk to them about the Lord; they laugh right in your face. Well, we're supposed to do it anyhow. But listen, "There's no man can come to Me except My Father draws him first." God has to do the drawing.

John 6:65

65†† And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father

John 6:37 ††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† ††††††††††††See John 8:42-45, John 12:37-40

37†† All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

You have your living, your moving, your being is life. And it depends on what kind of life is within you, the way it will control you. No wonder that people cannot believe, yet they claim to be religious, cannot believe Divine healing, cannot believe in miracles, cannot believe the Holy Spirit makes people to--to be filled with the powerof the resurrection of Christ. The reason they cannot believe it, they have nothing inside of them to believe with, because your life is--your motion is controlled by the life that's in you.

1 John 4:5-6

5††† They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6††† We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The children of disobedience and the children of obedience has nothing in common. One of the--is of the day of light, the other one of night and darkness, evil age, this evil age of darkness, nightclubs, dances, yet belong to church. It's okay with their god. They don't have any condemnation about it; nothing bothers them.

If Christ be in you

27†† To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

"Christ in you, the hope of glory," Christ in the heart that changes you, makes you a different person, a new creation.

Don't try to have any sensation, anything to take the place of the Holy Spirit. When the new birth is come, you are changed.

Something happened, a God... A miracle was performed. What did He do? Changed your vile heart, changed your desires, changed your nature. A supernatural Word, by a supernatural God, made a creature of time to a creature of eternity. Amen. Took the world out of you, and put Christ in you, the hope of glory. And you're filled with His Spirit and ready to meet Him.

1 Peter 1:23†††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† See John 3:3

23††† Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 1:3-4

3†† Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4†† To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

1 John 5:4

4†††† For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Romans 8:6-11 †††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† †††††††††††††††See Ephesians 2:4-10

6†††† For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7†††† Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8††††† So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9†††† But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of††† Christ, he is none of his.

10††† And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11††† But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

In the garden of Eden the devil took the man's head; God took his heart. And that's the throne of God, where God dwells in the human heart. And now, if it's intellectually... Sure, then a man or a woman that's borned of God will act like the Kingdom they're from. Hallelujah. That would make me shout. Why? Because when you know that you've passed from death unto Life, because you hate sin, and you love God; and you'll stand regardless if you die or don't die... You'll stand that it's wrong, and call wrong wrong, and walk upright before God. It shows that your Spirit, the Life that's in you is from another place, where it's holy, and pure, and virgin, and undefiled.

No more sin, the sin question's settled. That's the reason sin looks so dirty to a Christian. That's why women out here with these shorts on look so dirty to a Christian. That's why vulgarity; that's a lot of dirty things; that's why smoking, drinking, gambling, all these uncensored programs on television, all that stuff seems filth. Why? You're of a different Kingdom. You're borned into the Kingdom of God and sealed by the Holy Ghost until the day of your redemption. He that's borned of God commits no sin, for he can't sin. The seed of God is in him, and he cannot sin. As long as that Holy Ghost is in there, He takes every desire of sin away from you. Amen.

1 JOHN 3:9

9†† Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Who was the sin offering? Jesus Christ. How do we get in Christ? Who died for us? Christ. What did He die for? Our sins. He took my punishment. Is that right? And then how do I get into Him? By one Spirit we are all baptized into one body. And when in this body, we're covered by the Blood and free from the judgments. He cannot sin, because there's a Blood sacrifice laying for him day and night. Hallelujah. He can't sin. He has no desire to sin. If he does it--if he does do something wrong, he don't mean to do it. The Bible said in Hebrews the 10th chapter, "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth (and He is the Truth), there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin. He that despised Moses' law, died under two or three witness, how much more sorer punishment suppose, though worthy, who's trod the Blood of Jesus Christ under his feet and counted the Blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified with an unholy thing, and done despite to the works of grace." For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body and are free from sin, and we cannot sin. There is an Atonement waiting for us. And if there's still desire in your heart to sin, you have never been baptized into that body, because you are dead and your life is hid in Christ through God and sealed by the Holy Ghost. Christians don't sin. They make mistakes, but they don't sin.

If you can see what it is, it's the Life that's in you. See, that Blood is identifying you with It. It's a Token. The... What it is, the Blood was shed for you; you've accepted, and the Life has come into you. You have the Token; that's the Holy Spirit.
